Illustrator
I’m Mr. Dom, an illustrator whose work revolves around military themes. Although tanks, aircraft, and soldiers often appear in my drawings, my focus is not on war, power, or conflict. Instead, I’m drawn to the quiet and ordinary moments within military life—the ones that rarely appear in documentaries, news footage, or heroic narratives.
In my illustrations, soldiers may be waiting, repairing equipment, chatting with teammates, taking a break, or simply passing time. These subtle, human-scale moments form the rhythm of real military experience—slow, routine, sometimes boring, yet full of unspoken camaraderie.
Through a lighthearted, approachable, and sometimes cute visual language, I hope to remind viewers that soldiers are human first. They get tired, joke around, make mistakes, feel proud, and occasionally befriend a passing dog.
If this softer storytelling helps more people feel comfortable approaching military subjects—perhaps even supporting defense out of understanding rather than fear—then I believe illustration can become a quiet tool for peace.
Because in the end, it’s not the machines that define the military—it’s the people standing beside them.
