The event is open to students, scholars, creators, practitioners, policymakers and anyone interested in the intersections of tourism and creative industries.

Please note that participation in the academic session is optional. Registration does not require you to present a paper.
All registration types include access to keynote sessions, roundtables, creators talk, academic sessions, and Pier-2 Anime Festival ticket.
Abstract’s word count should be about 500 words (excluding references). The abstract should include the purpose of the research, the methods used and the key /expected findings.
All research topics that investigate the intersections of popular culture and tourism in the broadest sense are considered. Possible themes include, but are not limited to:
Film and screen tourism
Music, festivals, and fan travel
Gaming, cosplay, and digital culture
Comics, literature, and transmedia tourism
Creative cities and rural revitalization
Fandom, identity, and transcultural flows
Heritage and popular culture
Immersive technologies (AR/VR/XR) in tourism
Comparative or region-specific case studies (including Taiwan, East Asia, and beyond)
Any geographical settings as research contexts are welcome. Also, we strongly encourage researchers with diverse and multidisciplinary research backgrounds to submit their abstracts.
The abstract should be submitted via the online conference platform. All submitted abstracts will be peer reviewed by the scientific committee.
